How PDF to Word conversion actually works
A PDF isn't a document you can edit — it's a fixed snapshot, a set of instructions for painting text and shapes onto a page. To get a usable Word file back, something has to read that page, work out where the paragraphs, columns, tables and images really are, and rebuild them as native Word objects. This tool does exactly that: it sends your PDF to our server, where a document-parsing engine reconstructs a true .docx — headings, body text, tables and inline images become real, editable elements, not a flat wall of text pasted into a box. You open the result in Word, Google Docs or LibreOffice and keep writing.
It works best on PDFs that were born from text — reports, contracts, articles, exported documents. The genuinely hard cases are scanned pages or image-only PDFs (there's no text to recover, only a picture) and heavily-designed layouts with overlapping columns, sidebars and decorative typography, where any converter has to make judgement calls. Because the conversion needs real server resources, we ask you to sign in first — but the file itself is processed and then deleted immediately. Nothing is stored, and your document never lingers on our side.
