These Terms govern your use of Smartees (the "Service"), operated by Kavela LTD (company no. 17051996), Shelton Street, London, United Kingdom. By creating an account or using any tool, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Smartees provides a directory of free, browser-based tools. Tool outputs require a signed-in account. The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EU) and able to enter a binding contract.

3. Account

You may sign in with Google or via email magic link. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized use.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to process unlawful content.
  • Submit personal data of others without their consent.
  • Scrape, mirror, frame, redistribute or resell tool outputs at scale.
  • Attempt to bypass rate limits, authentication or security controls.
  • Run automated traffic (bots, scripts, headless browsers) against the Service without prior written permission.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile or attempt to extract source code or models.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, at our sole discretion and without notice.

5. Fair use & rate limits

The Service is provided free of charge subject to fair use. We apply per-account and per-IP rate limits to protect the Service. We may reduce limits, throttle, or block any account that imposes disproportionate cost on the Service.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, its design, code, name and logo are owned by Kavela LTD. Tool outputs generated from your inputs are yours to use, subject to (a) any third-party rights in the underlying data and (b) these Terms. You retain ownership of your inputs and grant us a limited licence to process them to deliver the requested output.

7. Third-party tools and links

The directory links to or embeds third-party tools and websites. We are not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability, or terms.

8. Disclaimers

Tool outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable for your purpose. Do not rely on them for medical, legal, financial or other professional decisions. We make no warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kavela LTD shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data or use, arising out of or relating to the Service. Total aggregate liability for direct damages shall not exceed £100.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Kavela LTD and its officers, employees and agents from any claim arising from your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

You may delete your account at any time by emailing [email protected]. We may suspend or terminate access at any time for breach of these Terms.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced via the site. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer protection law applies in your country of residence.
