Mojisuu Character Counter

Japanese text is measured here by several counts at once. As text is typed or pasted, the tool updates the character count with spaces and line breaks excluded, the number of lines and paragraphs, a 原稿用紙 manuscript-paper conversion, and byte length in both UTF-8 and Shift_JIS.

The interface and all supporting copy are in Japanese. The site says input is processed inside the browser only and that no registration is needed, and the working loop stays short: type or paste the text, watch the counts update, then copy or clear it.

The documented use cases are reports and theses, application forms and statements of motivation, novels and compositions measured against manuscript paper, social posts, and checking byte length for forms or systems that impose one. Separate sections explain how characters are counted and what to check when the number shown does not match the limit another system reports.
