Bengali text sits across two incompatible worlds: Unicode, which is searchable and is what the Avro keyboard produces, and the legacy Bijoy ANSI encoding that SutonnyMJ layouts expect. BanglaTools moves text between them in the browser, converting Unicode or Avro input into SutonnyMJ-compatible Bijoy ANSI and converting Bijoy text back into searchable Unicode.

The workflow the site describes has three steps: paste Bengali text or bring in a UTF-8 TXT file, choose the direction of conversion, then verify the result before copying or downloading it. That verification step matters because the conversion has to carry pre-kar, ref, hasanta and conjunct forms across, and names and conjuncts are worth checking by eye. Word and Excel documents can be converted too, with the DOCX and XLSX package structure preserved.

The tool is free and needs no sign-up, and the interface presents its steps in both English and Bengali. It is aimed at Bengali writers, students, translators, editors and content creators who work with both modern and legacy Bangla.
